Volunteers of the Month - JULY

The year is definitely flying and July was the biggest month with more weeks of footy than any other month. With that comes plenty of things to do for our record-breaking volunteers!

We received another large sum of fantastic submissions for Volunteer of the Month and while we can't recognise every volunteer that was put forward, everyone's efforts do not go unnoticed!

Congratulations to the lucky few that earnt July's Volunteer of the Month honours!

Brian Michalowsky – Victorian Rugby League Referees Association

A staple of Rugby League in Victoria for many years now, Brian has once again contributed significantly to the NRL VIC season.

With a referee shortage occurring nation-wide, Brian’s mental fortitude when handling appointments across our Metro competition has been pivotal to our success in delivering our biggest ever year.

Georgia Seton – CSU Mud Dogs

Georgia is not only the reigning player of the year, she’s club president (in her second year), has overseen the rebirth of the men’s team and secured a home venue for the club all in an extremely short space of time. Add this to her studies and commitment to her profession, Georgia is always willing to give up her time with a smile on her face and can-do attitude!

Rob Macbeth – Melton Broncos

Rob is a great club all-rounder, from being on the club committee as the sponsorship and fund-raising to purchasing food and running the canteen on training nights to also being our club sport trainer and travelling with the teams that need him. He never says no and is always offering to help.

Natasha Green – Frankston Raiders

Natasha is always at every session willing to help out anywhere possible from helping at the merch table right through to being such an awesome girls coordinator.

She’s also the 'strapper for our senior men’s team. Without the hard work Tash puts in we as a club (Frankston) would be very lost without her!

Michelle Taratu – Casey Warriors

She is a mum of 5 children all playing rugby league this year for Casey Warriors. She sets the fields up for games and does plenty of cleaning and s

he is the manager for multiple teams also.

She became a committee member to help make a positive change at the club. Michaelle is dedicated to the club and growth of the female rugby league space.
