Melbourne Storm U21s have made history, becoming Jersey Flegg Premiers for the first time in club history.
The young side delivered a commanding performance on the weekend, capping off a standout season with a 38-16 victory over the Penrith Panthers in the Grand Final.
Storm came out firing in the first half, with Hugo Peel crossing for the opening try. Penrith managed to hit back, but Melbourne kept control with Cooper Clarke going over just before half-time to take a 20-10 lead into the break.
Carrying their momentum into the second half, Peel struck again early to pile the pressure on Penrith. From there, Storm ran away with the contest, adding three more tries to seal the Premiership.
While there were plenty of standout performers, Peel proved influential with two tries and his organisation, while captain Preston Conn led strongly from the front.
Dylan Brettle was named best on ground for his stellar performance, highlighted by tireless defence and a crucial second-half try that put Storm in control.
Melbourne Storm U21s will return in 2026 aiming to defend their title and chase back-to-back Premierships.
