2021 COMBINED AFFILIATED STATES TOURNAMENT
Some very disappointing news this morning!
Due to recent COVID outbreaks and border advice across all governments, the Combined Affiliated States (CAS) tournament that was schedule for 23-26 September, has been cancelled.
We are bitterly disappointed, but with all things COVID related, it is completely out of control. However, for all players selected in the NRL Victoria U15's and U17's train on squads, you will still be required at the first training session at Eastern Raptors Rugby League Club (Colchester Reserve, Boronia), 4th of August starting at 5:30pm. Our focus will still be around player development for these age groups. Unfortunately for all players selected in the Men’s train on squad, your training will no longer be proceeding, given the tournaments cancellation.
https://casinonon-aams.com had me thinking about how unpredictability has become the norm for planning anything, which is exactly how this tournament cancellation reads. The part about the U15 and U17 squads still training at Eastern Raptors while the men's squad gets shelved entirely seems like a tough call, though keeping development going for the younger groups makes sense. My own club had a season wiped out mid-run a couple years back, and the kids bounced back faster than the adults did.
Honestly, the piece captures the intensity of the 2021 Combined Affiliated States Tournament, and I remember the atmosphere from when I played that year. I spent some time on https://nl.trustpilot.com/review/casinonederlanden.com and it went a little deeper on this. Overall, the description here matches my recollection.
